Jared Simmons spent years supporting laboratories nationwide — building custom integrations, developing specialized reports, and fixing the gaps that existing LIS systems left behind. In 2019, he co-founded a clinical laboratory and saw the billing problem firsthand: labs were losing thousands of dollars a month to preventable claim denials, and the software they relied on couldn't catch problems until it was too late.

The LIS market offered two options: systems that lacked billing intelligence, or enterprise platforms that cost $100K+ to implement and required multi-year contracts. Neither worked for small and mid-size labs. Jared built Diagnose to fill that gap — a modern, cloud-native LIS with pre-analytic claim defense built in from day one.
